5.) Thou Mayest (419 E 18th St, Kansas City, MO 64108)
Located in the Crossroads Arts District, Thou Mayest brews more than coffee. Meaning “the way is open,” Thou Mayest cultivates community. Kansas City entrepreneurs, artisans and activists gather in Thou Mayest nooks to to exchange ideas and spark creativity. For the holiday season, sample “Alter Ego,” a bold, milk-chocolatey blend for the holiday season.
4.) The Roasterie (1204 W 27th St, Kansas City, MO 64108)

3.) Goat Hill (811 W 17th St, Kansas City, MO 64108)
If it’s 2:00 and the Fervor team is missing, it’s probably because we’re just around the corner at Goat Hill Coffee & Soda for an afternoon pick-me-up. Goat Hill serves Messenger coffee along with teas and ciders. The quaint storefront boasts excellent customer service. Fervor favorites include the pour over and dirty chai latte.
2.) Monarch Coffee (3550 Broadway Blvd, Kansas City, MO 64111)

1.) Black Dog Coffee House 12815 W 87th St Pkwy, Lenexa, KS 66215
Lenexa’s Black Dog Coffee House takes our top spot. In addition to its Messenger coffee, Black Dog features a full breakfast and lunch menu. Be sure to grab a slice of artisanal Ibis bread from the bakery as well. Kansas City winters can be long. Black Dog is the perfect spot to gather with friends, study or cozy up with a good book.
